Resetting Evidentia

WARNING! Following these steps WILL wipe out all your data! Your attachments will NOT be touched. If at all possible, create a backup before following these instructions! Data saved in the cloud will NOT be affected by following these steps.
Resetting Evidentia on Windows
Open a command screen

In the command screen, enter the command below, and Evidentia will start ‘fresh’
32bit Windows: "C:Program Files (x86)Evidentia3Evidentia3.exe" --reset
64bit Windows: "C:Program FilesEvidentia3Evidentia3.exe" --reset
Resetting Evidentia on a Mac
Open a terminal screen

In the terminal screen, enter the command below, and Evidentia will start ‘fresh’:
/Applications/Evidentia3.app/Contents/MacOS/Evidentia3 --reset
Resetting Evidentia on Linux
In the terminal screen, enter the command below, and Evidentia will start ‘fresh’
/opt/evidentia3/evidentia3 --reset
Still having Issues?
For most issues we have seen, the above instructions will get you back up and running. You can restore your backup and be on your way. If after restoring your backup the problem comes back, there is something wrong with your database file. In this case, contact us and send a copy of your backup file, and we will try to sort it out.Using Dropbox?
If you are using Dropbox, and after syncing to the new database the problem comes back, there is a problem with the copy of the database on Dropbox. Contact us and we will help you sort it out.
